The PNPD/CAPES – CAPES National Post-doctoral Program provides fellowship quotas to support post-doctoral research studies in outstanding Post-graduation programs in Brazil.

Our program maintain seven CAPES type-A fellowship quotas, which provides up to 60 month stipends to Brazilian and resident foreign grantees. Grantees cannot have other working positions and should dedicate their whole time to research and teaching in UFU. The PNPD/CAPES grants also include a limited allocation that can be used for research. The stipends of R$ 4.100,00 are paid monthly directly to the grantee. Post-doctoral candidates are selected at irregular basis, pending on available quotas. Last selection in 2017 involved 27 candidates.
